榴岡公園
仙台駅から徒歩約20分。榴岡公園は仙台藩四代藩主綱村が京都から取り寄せたシダレザクラなど1000本あまりをこの地に植えたのが始まりと言われている。平成元年に日本の都市公園100選に選ばれ、桜の名所として広く知られ、桜の季節になると花見を楽しむ多くの行楽客で賑わいを見せる。敷地内にはレトロな建物の仙台市歴史民族資料館がある。
公園内には芝生の広場、遊具、噴水がある。有料駐車場48台分あり。
Located about a 20-minute walk from Sendai Station, Tsutsujigaoka Park is said to have originated when Tsunamura, the fourth lord of the Sendai domain, planted over 1,000 cherry trees, including weeping cherry trees, that he had brought from Kyoto. Selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Urban Parks in 1989, it is widely known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, and during cherry blossom season, it is bustling with many visitors enjoying the blossoms. Within the grounds is the Sendai City Historical and Folk Museum, a retro-style building.
The park features a grassy area, playground equipment, and a fountain. There is a paid parking lot with 48 spaces.
