一番町は仙台の中心を南北につらぬくアーケード商店街で、サンモール一番町はその南端に位置する商店街です。歩行者天国のアーケードは、天井高で開放感のある造りになっています。文化横丁、壱弐参横丁の名物横丁もあり、地元民や観光客の人気のエリアです。
A shopping mall that is covered by a 14m high arcade, this street is and famous for its mechanical clock, which plays 6 times a day. It is also one of the main areas for the Tanabata Festival.
