The Sendai Miyagi Film Commission accepts inquiries by email related to location filming. Please send your film project proposal, a copy of the script, outline of locations you seek, and any other relevant documents. There may well be other suitable locations for filming that are not listed on the Scout Locations section of our website, so please inquire.
To request support for filming, please download the Filming Support Request Form below, fill out the details, and submit it via the Contact Form or by email. Together with the request form, please send your film project proposal, outline of filming, a copy of the script, outline of your call for extras, and any other relevant documents.
COVID 19 Infection Control Guideline in Supporting Location
The Sendai Miyagi Film Commission follows the Japan Film Commission’s “Guidelines to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 in Supporting Location Filming” when providing support for location shooting of films in Miyagi Prefecture. We request that filmmakers adhere strictly to the guidelines (below). Please download the checklist, fill out the details, and send it back by email to our film commission.
